There is one important feature that Samsung has implemented into Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge’s software code but hasn’t enabled it, and it is the phone calling ability. Smartphones have the ability to record phone calls and the Samsung Galaxy s6 with the Galaxy S6 edge are no exception.
However, if you grabbed your phone looking for the button to enable the ability to record phone calls you will have a hard time finding it. Even though both devices are capable of such feature, Samsung has disabled it, yet included it into the software.
The reason why Samsung has disabled the phone calling feature is because this ability is not allowed on all countries. It might be perfectly legal on some countries to record conversations but some countries might not allow it. If you live in a country that allows phone calls recording, follow the guide below to learn how to enable it.
- Root access (how to root)
- File manager (download)
- Launch the file explorer on your phone and navigate to system/csc.
- There is a file called others.xml. Open it using a file editor.
- Scroll to the end of the file and find the following lines:
</FeatureSet>
</SamsungMobileFeature> - Just above these two lines enter the following line:
CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording
- Save the file and reboot your phone.
Make a phone call. There will be a button which will start recording the phone call. Press the button again to stop recording.
