Preview is Mac OS X’s application for displaying and editing images, such as resizing, rotation, cropping. You may also use Preview to convert images/photos to a different format, including: JPEG, JPEG 2000, OpenEXR, PDF, PNG, TIFF, GIF, ICNS, BMP, OpenEXR, Microsoft Icon, Photoshop PSD, SGI, and TGA.
Here is how:
1.Open your image in Preview by double clicking.
2.Choose File > Export. Choose the desired file format from the Format menu:
2.As you can see, there are JPEG, JPEG-2000, OpenEXR, PDF, PNG, and TIFF formats.
3.If you want to convert (save as) your image to different formats (e.g., GIF), choose File > Export and hold down the Option key, then choose the file formats. This reveals the other image formats: GIF, ICNS, JPEG, JPEG-2000, Microsoft BMP, Microsoft Icon, OpenEXR, PDF, PNG, Photoshop, SGI, TGA, TIFF.
