Still Looking For an iPad 2? Try FindOne

Are you still in the market for an iPad 2? Still not having any luck at your local Apple Store? Have you been waiting in line for a long time, only to find out that the iPad you are wanting is no longer available or did not come in last nights shipment of iPads? Donʼt worry, I feel your pain. I got up early and stood in line at the Apple Store three times before I finally got my iPad 2. So hopefully this next app I show you will help ease your pain a bit. An app called FindOne actually helps you find an iPad 2 for you, which could help you in the short term. Let me show you.

When you first open the app you are asked to put in your zip code. Then you are asked about the type of iPad 2 you are looking for. Once you are done putting in the combinations of type of iPad 2, color, and size, then you can click “Search Stores”.

Then the app will search your local Target and Walmart stores to see if they have the iPad 2 you are looking for. You can then click on the store and the information for that store will show up. If you didnʼt choose any specific iPad 2, then you will see what exactly that store has in stock. For example, if you just chose “All” for the colors, when you click on the store, you will see what kind of specific iPad 2 that store has in stock.

That is pretty much it for the app. To be honest, I have been waiting for an app like this even before the iPad 2 came out. Apple did something similar to this on their website with the original iPad. I am not sure why they didnʼt do it with this one. The app, although serves a good purpose, could be better. For one, I wish they would be able to list Apple Stores and also Best Buy. If you donʼt have a Target or Walmart, then this app is useless to you. Also, as I have been reading reviews on this app, there are lots of people that say it is always best to call before you go to the store assuming they have the iPad 2 you want in stock. It seems like the app is not always accurate. I donʼt know how much the app is to blame for this. Unless they have up to the minute stats, the app will not always be accurate being that the iPad 2 is still flying off the shelves.

The app has potential, but a short life. I would say this app would be somewhat useless in about a month or so. But, hey, it is free, so there is no hurt in at least trying it out if you are still looking for that elusive iPad 2. Go to the App Store and download it here.
