Apple has released iOS 4.0.2 (for iPhone, iPod touch) and iOS 3.2.2 (for iPad). The new software updates fix security vulnerability associated with viewing malicious PDF files. Resolution of this flaw also obviates the web-based “JailbreakMe” method of jailbreaking iOS device.
iOS 4.0.2 can be installed on the following devices:
- iPhone 3G
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- iPod touch 2nd generation
- iPod touch 3rd generation (late 2009 models with 32GB or 64GB)
and iOS 3.2.2 can be installed on the following devices:
- iPad
- iPad WiFi + 3G
Both updates can be applied by connecting your iOS device to your computer then selecting “Update” in iTunes.
