Install Adam Custom Kernel on Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F)

If you want to improve the performance of your Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F, go ahead and install Adam kernel on your device. There are many ways you can improve the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S6. You can install a custom ROM which completely changes the way the phone works since it runs on a completely different firmware.

Custom mods are another solution which fix specific issues with the phone’s firmware. If you do not want to go so far as installing a custom ROM, there are easier solutions. The best alternative is installing a custom kernel. The Linux kernel on the Galaxy S6 is responsible for everything that happens on the phone. From initiating a phone call or deciding what happens when a certain part of the digitizer is touched, the kernel is responsible. It even tells the CPU the frequency it has to run on, so that’s why you need to modify the kernel to overclock the processor.

The first custom kernel has been released by the well-known developer “wanam”.  The kernel known as Adam is a stock kernel built from Samsung sources. It is rooted with the latest SuperSU and SeLinux is set to Permissive Mode.

The developer didn’t want to add many features to the kernel like being able to overclock. Instead, Adam kernel is very simple with a few power efficiency tweaks which will help the phone run smoother and even increase battery life to a certain point.
