Many web sites are optimized for mobile devices (e.g. iPhone and iPad). Although mobile versions of websites can be great, usually these optimized versions offer less functionalities and simpler design layouts than the full (desktop) versions. iOS 8 now lets users request a desktop version of a mobile site. Here is how you can request the desktop view of websites on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 8 and later:
.Launch Safari and visit a site (e.g. iCloud.com).
.Tap the address (URL) bar at the top of the screen.
.Now pull down on the menu. This will reveal two more options: (1) Add to favorites and (2) Request Desktop Site.
.Tap the Request Desktop Site button and Safari will reload the desktop (full) version of the site.
