An interview with a Harvard professor, Ryan Raffaelli, published on the Harvard Business School site argues that Apple Watch will not fundamentally change our lives in a similar way the iPhone and iPad did and ultimately will fail.
Basically, the professor says Apple Watch will likely fail because (a) while the Apple Watch is certainly advanced, it is not a “radical” or life-changing innovation (b) its appearance is aesthetically not pleasing (c) its not a stand alone device (d) its expensive (e) wearable market is unstable /unknown yet.
