Several users have reported Siri issues. Users further reported that they are receiving these error messages:
- Sorry, I cannot take requests right now. Please try again later
- There’s something wrong and I can’t answer your question right now. Please try again in a little while
- I’m really sorry about this but I can’t take any requests right now. Please try again later
- Sorry, I’m having trouble connecting to the network
These type of errors usually mean one of the followings:
- You have poor or no Internet connection. Siri requires an active Internet connection using your Cellular Data plan or wireless connection, Wi-Fi. If your connection is slow, or has intermittend drops, this may cause Siri to issue these messages. To fix this issue, troubleshoot your connection. Here is what you can do:
- Make sure that Siri is on (Settings > General > Siri)
- Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
- Toggle Wi-Fi off and back on again
- Apple services are down. Siri sends your information to Apple to process your requests. So if Apple’s servers are down, Siri would not work.
- You may want to check for known reported outages with any of the Apple system services:
