Safari Reading List disappeared on iPad, iPhone; fix

Several iOS users have reported an issue in which Safari Reading List has disappeared from Safari. If you are having trouble with Reading List with Safari (e.g., after an iOS update) on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch), try each of these steps to troubleshoot your problem:

  • Quit and relaunch Safari. To do this, double press your home button, tap and hold the Safari icon until it jiggles, then tap the red (-) sign to close Safari. Then press your home button. Wait a minute and open Safari again. Check to see if your problem is fixed.

  • Restart your iOS device by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and then slide the red slider.

  • Tap Settings > iCloud then toggle Safari off (choose Keep data option). Wait a minute and turn back on.
