How to downgrade iOS 6 to iOS 5

Some users have experienced problems after upgrading to iOS 6. Many of these users want things as they were before the update. If you are having problems with iOS 6 on your device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), you may want to downgrade your device back to iOS 5.1.1. So is this possible?

The short answer is no; there is no easy way to downgrade. Apple does not support downgrading and will not allow it. Some websites explain that you may downgrade by putting your device into DFU mode and restoring the old IPSW file of iOS 5.1.1. This will simply not work. Apple temporarily was allowing downgrading of iOS 6 Beta to iOS 5.1.1, but not anymore. Don’t worry, though. Sure iOS 6 has bugs and minor issues, but Apple will fix them in the 6.0.1 update which should come out very soon.
