Several users have reported that their new iPad battery drains quickly. The battery drain issue has many possible causes. From our experience, apps that send data and have a background process may cause battery drain. Try to identify those apps that causing the battery drain. You may also want to optimize your settings so you don’t use or need any extra features that may decrease your iPad’s battery life dramatically. You may also want to try:
- Restarting your device by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds, and then slide the slider.
If problem persists:
- Backing up your iPhone onto iCloud (Settings > iCloud > Backup & Storage); then remove all settings and information from your iPad using “Erase All Content and Settings” in Settings > General > Reset. Finish initial settings then restore from your iCloud back-up. You may also try iTunes back up and restore instead of iCloud.
