Listening to music on an iDevice is wonderful, of all the music players I’ve ever had, Apple definitely makes the best. But I often wish for a way to get my music to play off something a little…louder, like my on my TV. With the app AirMusic, my wish has come true!
With AirMusic, you can stream all your music to your gaming console (excluding the Wii), PC (Running windows media player on Windows Vista or 7), or your DLNA compatible device using your local WiFi network.
Although AirMusic was a godsend for me, I did have my doubts about how effective streaming my music would be. After a few hours of streaming, I’m happy to say that this app is amazing. I streamed purchased and, eh…non-purchased music to my Xbox 360 and had zero trouble. When first testing, I did have trouble streaming purchased music from iTunes, but with the newest update (1.1) that trouble is gone.
Overall, the user experience is great. The process involves:
0.Having both the iDevice, and the Xbox, PS3, etc. on the same WiFi network.
1.Opening the app.
2.Turning the switch from on to off
3.Open the music player on the Xbox, PS3, etc.
4.Done!
Honestly, it’s almost too easy.
This is a very good app and, honestly, it does what it says and it does it well. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a music streaming option, this is the best thing out there in the iOS ecosystem.
