After many weeks of waiting, Android users can finally celebrate as Fortnite, one of the most popular games at the moment has finally come to the biggest mobile platform. Even though the game is officially available on Android, there are a few limitations as to which devices the game can be played. Weeks before the launch of the Galaxy Note 9, there were rumors that Fortnite would be exclusive to flagship Samsung phones only.
Now that the game is officially out, it can only be downloaded through Samsung’s Galaxy Apps store. It can be downloaded and played on some of the latest Samsung phones. Below is the list of supported phones:

- Galaxy S8 / S8+
- Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
- Galaxy Note 9
- Galaxy Note 8
- Galaxy Tab S4
- Galaxy Tab S3
If you have any of the phones mentioned above, simply go to Galaxy Apps and download the game. However, if you have another phone, that doesn’t mean that you cannot play. There is a method where Fortnite can be played on all Android phones from all manufacturers such as LG, Google Pixel, Sony, HTC, ZTE, OnePlus, Xiaomi and much more.
How To Install And Play Fortnite on All Android Phones
Firstly, you need to download the direct APK file of the Fortnite game. You need to install the APK file and then download the required game data.
In order to play Fortnite on any Android phone, you need to have root access as you need to modify the build.prop file. If your phone is not rooted, check the guide below to learn how to root your phone:
Also, you will need a file explorer with root capabilities. There are plenty of file editors with root access, such as ES File Manager.
- Find the build.prop file on your phone. Usually, you need to go to Root Storage > System and there you can find the build.prop file.
- Long press on the file and select the option to edit it.
- Find the following lines and modify them, just as shown below:
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
ro.build.product=starlte
ro.product.device=starlte
ro.product.model=SM-G960F
ro.product.name=starltexx - Save the file and reboot your phone.
