Download Odin 3.13.1 to Flash Android 8.0 Oreo Firmware on Samsung Devices

Samsung has recently released the Android 8.0 Oreo firmware update for some of the company’s most popular smartphones, such as the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8. These devices can be updated from previous versions such as Nougat, whereas the Galaxy S9 and S9+, Samsung’s latest devices come with Oreo out of the box.

Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy devices is based on Samsung Experience 9.0. This is the latest UX version that all devices on Oreo get to enjoy. Unless you have already installed Android 8.0, and that’s if you have a Galaxy S9 or you have received the OTA update on the Galaxy S8, the only way to update is to flash the stock Oreo firmware via Odin.

Odin is the go-to tool to flash files on Samsung devices. Odin can be used to flash stock or custom firmware, kernels, mods, and more. Every time a Samsung firmware with a new Android version is released, Odin receives updates as well in order to comply with the new files. Odin3 v3.13.1 is the latest version which allows users to flash Android 8.0 Oreo stock firmware on all eligible Samsung Galaxy devices.

With Odin 3.13.1 you can flash and update to any Samsung firmware based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and revert back to stock if things slow down and you want to start fresh.

Download the zip file and extract it. Go to the extracted folder and double-click on “Odin3 v3.13.1.exe” file. This will launch the new Odin software. If you have already downloaded the firmware, put the respective files on the available slots (BL, AP, CP, CSC), put the phone to download mode, connect it to the PC and start flashing. This is all you have to do to flash Oreo firmware on your Galaxy S9, S8, and other Galaxy devices.
