Euphoria-OS Android 5.1 Lollipop ROM for Nexus 6

When it comes to custom development, Nexus devices are the most supported ones, with many developers actively creating custom ROMs, kernels, mods and other great software that aim to make the experience better. Google’s flagship phone, the Nexus 6, isn’t suffering when it comes to custom ROMs.

Simply take a look at the Nexus 6 forum to understand the popularity of the device. One of the best and most stable ROMs that you can install on your Nexus 6 is Euphoria-OS. Nexus 6, being a Google device, was the first phone to receive the official Android 5.1 Lollipop update.

Android 5.1 introduced many features, user interface changes and bug fixes. If you are a normal user, the stock Android 5.1 firmware will do the job. But if you want more than just a stock Lollipop experience, a custom ROM is a necessity. When it comes to features and options, Euphoria-OS ROM is the best.

Recently, Euphoria-OS received an update to Android 5.1 Lollipop, so you can now enjoy your favorite features on the latest version of Android. Before we continue with the installation process, let’s mention some features of the ROM.

Euphoria-OS is AOSP based and encrypting is disabled for better performance. The ROM features a theme chooser where you can download and install your favorite themes. Other options include USB OTG support, advanced reboot menu, status bar brightness control and customizable quick settings. As far as audio is concerned, Euphoria-OS comes with AudioFX app installed. There are a few gestures available too, like double tap to wake and sweep to wake.
