As 2016 year end approaches, many iFolks are taking time to introspect their achievements and looking to make a meaningful contribution to their favorite cause via donations and charitable giving. What is better than contributing to your favorite cause and using your iPhone or other iDevice with Apple Pay for Year End Charitable Contributions!
Year-end fundraising has always been a critical component of funding source for many non-profits. According to a survey conducted by non-profit hub, fund raising activities face several challenges primarily driven by complicated communication and ease of transaction.
Starting this year, Apple is making it easier by providing ‘A touch of Giving’ feature via its Apple Pay platform. Apple Pay will now support instant donations to your favorite non-profits.
By providing a secure platform, that is easy to use and can be accessed from your iPhone, iPad or Macbook, Apple is making it easier for iFolks to join the cause and support their favorite organization.
Apple Pay support for charitable donations kicked off this week with nonprofits ranging from global organizations such as UNICEF to startups like charity.
This makes it easier for ifolks. Instead of entering your credentials, filling long forms and billing information on multiple sites, you can simply donate instantly via Apple Pay.
“We are thrilled that more people will help WWF tackle urgent conservation issues this holiday season and beyond with their donations via Apple Pay.” — Terry Macko, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, WWF.
“Websites and apps tell us they see twice as many people actually completing a purchase with Apple Pay than with other payment methods. We think offering such a simple and secure way to support the incredible work nonprofits do will have a significant impact on the communities they serve.” – Jeenifer Bailey, VP Apple pay
The platform currently supports a diverse group of organizations that include American Red Cross, American Heart Association, charity: water, St. Jude’s Children Research, Feeding America and the nature conservancy to name a few. You can check out the entire list of organizations at the Apple site.
Apple will continue to add new organizations to the Apple Pay platform. We hope that at some point Apple scales the platform so that ifolks can also support their local, neighborhood organizations that depend on year end charitable contributions.
