How to fix error when installing custom ROMs on the Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 and other Android devices. Custom ROMs are an important part of Android ecosystem. They are modified stock firmwares which can be flashed on various devices.

Outdated recovery


If you have an old custom Recovery installed, it will not flash latest and newest ROMs. It will always show installation aborted warning. You have to download the latest version of the Recovery you have and install it. Then you can install custom ROMs without any problems.

Corrupted ROM file


When you are downloading the zip file and you pause the process, the file can get corrupted. You can resume the download later but the file will stay corrupted and you will not know it. Again, when you try to flash a corrupted ROM the installation failed warning will show up. Make sure not to pause the download to get a good file.
