How to Fix Boot Loop in iOS 9.1 After Jailbreaking With Pangu

Whenever a new jailbreak utility is released, users often found themselves in the pile of issues. One of the most common problems that I’ve seen people getting into is the boot loop. In other words, after using Pangu to jailbreak their iPhone or iPad, the device just get stuck at the Apple Logo while trying to startup.

Recently, we showed you how to Jailbreak your iOS 9.1 with the new Pangu jailbreak tool. And it exactly brings the boot loop issue back to some users. Pangu uses 2 conditions, one during the jailbreak process and the other while the device is trying to boot up. For some reason, the condition triggered a kernel panic. As a result, your iPhone or iPad is now in the endless boot up.

Don’t worry, this might be a serious issue but there is a fix to that.

Normal Reboot

The first thing we can do to resolve this problem is reboot your iOS device normally. You can do so by holding down the power button until the screen is shut down and then turn it back on.

Going into DFU Mode

If normal reboot doesn’t help, that means we got to do something else. This bring us to DFU mode. We’ve written a tutorial on how to put your iPhone into DFU mode here. Feel free to check it out and try it for yourself.

Restore from iTunes

This is pretty much your last option if those two didn’t work. It’s unfortunate to see you lose your jailbreak after you just jailbroke it. But in order to fix this issue, you will need to restore from iTunes. In other words, upgrade to another firmware and lose your Jailbreak.

Since Apple has stopped signing iOS 9.1, you can head toward either iOS 9.2 or 9.3 and both firmware are not jailbreakable yet.

This post will continue to be updated if we find newer and better solution to the boot up problem. For now, those are your best shots.
