So you decided to buy a new ipad over the holidays or switched from an android tablet to a new ipad. If you plan on sharing this ipad or iphone with others, especially your kids, you may want to read this article.
There are a number of Apps out there that are initially free to download, however as you use these apps the app developer entices the user with new offers or in app purchases. This is especially prevalent on game apps. Before you realize your credit card has been used to facilitate these purchases.
In order to prevent this from happening, you can take control by restricting in-app purchases on your iOS device by following the steps below.
Step -> 1 Go to Settings > General > Restrictions
Step -> 2 Press “Enable Restrictions”
Step-> 3 Set up your 4 digit passcode for the restrictions feature. It is important you write this password in a safe place so that it is handy. Also this password should be different than the one that you use to unlock your device.
Step -> 4 Now you are ready to set up all the restrictions that you want on your device. For disallowing the in-app purchases, please switch off the in-app purchases option
