Apple Announces Support for Arabic on Siri

Apple Inc released a version of its virtual personal assistant Siri for Arabic speakers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia today, making its iPhones more attractive in a largely affluent market.

“This is part of the consumerization and personalization of IT-based services that we’re seeing at all levels of the industry,” said Paul Black, director of telecoms and media at IDC Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

In this release, the Arabic dialect supported will be primarily based on Saudi Arabia and UAE dialects.

  1. Go to the Settings icon on your device

  2. Tap on General followed by a tap on Siri
