If your Wi-Fi is not working, here is how to troubleshoot.

Fix:

  • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on again.

  • Restart your device.

  • Tap Settings > WI-Fi > Your Wi-Fi network > (i) > Forget this Network, then try to reconnect.

  • Reset network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

  • Turn off Location Services by tapping Settings > Privacy > Location Services

If you are still having issues, try:

  • Make sure that your Wi-Fi router’s firmware is up to date.

  • If it is available, use WPA/WPA2 authentication mode. If your router does not support this, try WPA Personal (TKIP). WEP is not recommended.

  • If it is available, enable WMM if your router allows you to change this. Disabling WMM on your wireless router may cause Wi-Fi problems.

  • Reset your iPhone or iPad by pressing and holding both the on/off and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo.
