New iPad reboots itself, fix

We’ve been receiving numerous reports of users finding that their iPads (Air and other models) unexpectedly reboot (restart). If you are having this problem, here is what you can do to fix:

  • Reset your iPad by pressing and holding the On/Off button and the home button together until you see the Apple logo. Do not worry, this does not remove/change any settings or content.

  • If you are experiencing frequent crashes, lack of memory might be the problem. Check the crash logs iOS stores in Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnostics & Usage Data. See this article to fix this problem.

  • If you are still having problems, back up your iPad then restore your iPad to factory settings. Then test your iPad to see if your issue still occurs. If your iPad  still reboots after setting to Factory Default, then contact Apple support. If not, restore your iPad from your backup.
