Every time Apple releases a new version of iOS, battery drain seems to be a constant problem. The iOS 7.0.6 update was not different. It seems that the latest iOS update is creating battery life problems for a number of users. A lot of iPhone and iPad users have reported an unusual battery drain. Users are claiming that the battery drains faster after upgrading to iOS 7.0.6.
“Since I upgraded to 7.0.6 my battery drains at an alarming rate. Since 8:00 this morning I have made one call and checked email – the battery is now 51% after 2 hours! This was fine before the update” wrote Apple Support forum user dpinparis, for instance.

Fix:
- Force close all the apps. Double press the home button, and swipe up every app card (app’s preview). Following this, hard reset your iDevice by pressing and holding both the Home Button and the Power Button (sleep/wake button) until you see the Apple logo. Note that this does not remove any contents or settings. This two-step fix has reportedly worked on iPad and iPhone models.
