Wi-Fi issues, including dropped connections and forgotten passwords, sudden cessation of data throughput, inability to reconnect to networks after sleep, and weak signals and slow transfer continue to affect iPad owners.
We’ve outlined a number of potential solution for these problems in our iPad Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide, but Apple now promises a fix in a future software update (as we first reported on April 7th).
Knowledge Base articel TS3304 states:
“Apple will also address remaining Wi-Fi connectivity issues with a future iPad software update.”
Sources tell AppleToolbox that Apple will address the issue via a power adjustment to the Wi-Fi subsystem. Speculation holds that a power delivery issue affects Wi-Fi, which is why some users have experienced success with turning off screen auto-brightness or adjusting screen brightness upward.
